Plain-language change summary

The changes to the bill define a "sober living home" as a residence that is both alcohol-free and drug-free, where adults recovering from substance use disorders live together, without providing formal treatment services. The revised bill allows certified sober living homes to report their status and bed availability to the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services, which will maintain and regularly update a public list of these homes. The previous version required registration with the department and established criteria for that process, including requirements related to opioid antagonists, which have been removed in this version.
