What changed in the latest version
18 added · 27 removedPlain-language change summary
The revised version of Bill SB 193 includes changes to several sections of the general statutes. It allows the Department of Consumer Protection to notify respondents of consumer complaints and requires them to respond within a 30-day period, instead of the previous requirement of 14 days. Additionally, if a respondent fails to respond, they may face a potential fine of up to $250. These changes aim to establish a clearer process for handling consumer complaints and consequences for lack of response.
