Plain-language change summary

The bill has changed to focus on creating specific pathways within existing alternate route to certification programs for individuals who hold master’s degrees in social work, rather than establishing a new certification program for school social workers. This means the Department of Education will work with current certification providers to help these individuals become teachers. The shift allows more individuals with relevant educational backgrounds to explore teaching opportunities in schools.
