Plain-language change summary

The changes made to SB 467 clarify the language regarding the responsibilities of funeral directors and embalmers when handling final disposition agreements. The term "funeral home" has been replaced with "funeral director" for consistency, and there is now a specific mention that funeral directors will not face criminal liability for following the instructions of someone claiming the right of final disposition. These amendments help delineate the roles and protections for funeral service providers when managing disputes or ambiguities related to the custody of a decedent's remains.
