Plain-language change summary

The revised bill specifies the election process for town officials in Brooklyn, including selectmen, auditors, constables, and others, while removing references to the town school committee. Additionally, it clarifies that after July 1, 2018, the election and terms of the selectmen, town clerk, board of relief, and town school committee will follow general statutes. This change streamlines the election framework and ensures that the process aligns with broader statutory requirements.
