Plain-language change summary

The bill changes the monthly personal needs allowance for Medicaid and Supplemental Security Income recipients living in long-term care facilities from $72.75 to $65. This change applies to recipients in various types of long-term care facilities and is designed to ensure that their personal fund accounts receive this adjusted amount. Additionally, both sections of the bill now have an effective date of July 1, 2018, instead of being effective upon passage, providing consistency in the timing for the changes.
