The amendment to Bill SB 231 clarifies the language regarding retirement credit for individuals who take military leave. It adjusts the phrasing from "required minimum of twenty years service" to "minimum service requirement of twenty years" for consistency throughout the text. This change is aimed at improving clarity without altering the underlying policy about credit for military service.
