The amended bill adds a requirement for annual reporting by the Department of Children and Families regarding family assessment responses related to child abuse or neglect. This includes detailed data on case dispositions, demographics, and an analysis of risk and safety assessment practices for identifying at-risk children. Additionally, it emphasizes the development of procedures for assessing and planning cases for children with intellectual and developmental disabilities, which aims to tailor responses to their specific needs. These changes enhance accountability and focus on the needs of vulnerable children in the system.
