The amended version of the bill adds a requirement for the Department of Developmental Services to provide in-home support services to individuals and families on a waiting list using trained employees, while removing the previous obligation to develop a broader service plan by January 1, 2018. It also clarifies the reporting expectations related to salary adjustments for nonprofit private provider organizations, specifying that adjustments relate to salaries noted in their 2015 annual report. This change aims to streamline the focus on immediate in-home services and ensure funding adjustments align with actual employee salary figures.
