Plain-language change summary

The amendment adds detail to the reporting responsibilities of the Office of the Department of Children and Families Ombudsman. It specifies that the director must submit monthly reports to the Child Advocate, including the number and type of inquiries and complaints, as well as resolved disputes. Additionally, it establishes an annual reporting requirement to the General Assembly, which must include similar data for each month of the previous calendar year. This enhanced reporting aims to provide greater transparency regarding the Ombudsman's activities and the interactions with the Department of Children and Families.
