Plain-language change summary

The amended bill expands the scope of workers' compensation coverage for personal care attendants to include all personal care attendants employed directly by consumers in state-funded programs, rather than being limited to those in the Community First Choice program. It mandates that a fiscal intermediary must procure and administer group workers' compensation coverage for these attendants who sustain injuries while working. This change may provide broader protections and support for personal care attendants across various state-funded programs, ensuring they have access to necessary workers' compensation benefits.
