Plain-language change summary

The revised bill includes a new requirement for the Connecticut Housing Finance Authority to publish its qualified allocation plan for the Low Income Housing Tax Credit program and submit it to a designated legislative committee for approval at least forty-five days before publication. In addition, the committee has a thirty-day timeframe to approve, disapprove, or waive its right to act on the submission. If the committee does not take action within this period, the plan is considered approved. This change establishes a formal legislative review process for the allocation plan, affecting how housing tax credits are managed.
