Plain-language change summary

The amendment to the bill clarifies that the Judicial Branch will provide information about the use of therapy dogs to comfort children under the age of eighteen during testimony in certain criminal cases. It specifies that the information will include details about organizations that offer trained dogs at no cost for individuals who have experienced trauma. The previous version included a provision for training judges on the benefits of therapy animals, which has been removed. This change means that the focus is now solely on providing information regarding the therapy dogs, rather than also addressing the training of judges on the topic.
