Plain-language change summary

The amendment made in SB 884 clarifies that a person who accepts a substitute decision-making document in good faith can assume it is valid and genuine unless they know otherwise. It also states that such a person is not required to accept a document they're asked to, thus providing flexibility in decisions about accepting these documents. Additionally, the previous wording about promoting uniformity among states was modified to remove the term "uniform" for consistency in language. The changes ensure clearer guidelines regarding substitute decision-making documents and the acceptance process.
