Plain-language change summary

The amendment removes specific language that outlined the requirements for school security measures in new school construction and existing school buildings. It retains the provision allowing the commissioner, in consultation with the development authority, to revise architectural design standards based on new recommendations or best practices for school security. This change allows for more flexibility in updating security measures without being bound to previously stated requirements, potentially enabling a quicker response to evolving security concerns.
