The amendment clarifies that a person does not need to be licensed, certified, or registered as a mental health professional to perform auricular acudetox, provided they have received training in the practice. This change is significant as it broadens the potential pool of individuals who can offer this specific practice, which may increase access for those seeking auricular acudetox services.
