Plain-language change summary

The recent changes to HB 19-1290 include clarifying language regarding the use of foreign work experience as a substitute for required contact hours for esthetician, nail technician, or hairstylist examinations. This amendment allows individuals with international experience in these fields to potentially meet qualifications for certification more easily. This is significant because it opens up opportunities for skilled professionals from other countries to work in Colorado, addressing labor shortages in the beauty industry.
