Rules, Calendar, and Operations of the House February 25, 2025 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT TO PROVIDE TAX RELIEF FOR WORKING FAMILIES BY REENACTING THE EARNED INCOME TAX CREDIT.
Whereas,NorthCarolinafamiliesfaceunprecedentedchallengesresultingfromWhereas,NorthCarolinafamiliesfaceunprecedentedchallengesresultingfromrising rising costs;
– If the credit allowed by this section exceeds the amount of tax imposedbythisPartforthetaxableyearreducedbythesumofallcreditsallowable,theSecretaryimposedbythisPartforthetaxable yearreducedbythesumofallcreditsallowable,theSecretary must refund the excess to the taxpayer.
