The updated version of Bill SJR 7 ratifies an agreement between the General Services Department and the City of Santa Fe to exchange five state-owned properties for one city-owned property. This change is important because it streamlines the legislative language while clearly outlining the properties involved in the exchange. Additionally, it reaffirms the legislature's role in approving such significant transactions, which ensures oversight and transparency in government property dealings.
