Plain-language change summary

The recent changes to Bill HB 14 include the addition of a formal title for the "Dentist and Dental Hygienist Compact" and the introduction of definitions for key terms, such as "active military member" and "adverse action." These updates clarify the purposes of the compact and establish a framework for dentists and dental hygienists to practice across state lines more easily. This matters because it can help increase access to dental care for communities and ensure that licensed professionals can serve in various states without facing unnecessary barriers.
