Summary
Existing law authorizes the establishment and operation of memorial districts to provide and maintain memorial halls, assembly halls, buildings, or meeting places for the use of veteran soldiers, sailors, and marines who have honorably served the United States in any wars or campaigns, or for the use of patriotic, fraternal, or benevolent associations of those persons, as specified. This bill would state the intent of the Legislature to enact legislation relating to the building of veterans memorials, buildings, and cemeteries.
