The bill would additionally authorize the office to receive monetary donations and other donations from businesses, nonprofit organizations, or the public, for implementation of the program, as specified, and would authorize the office to charge a registration fee for participation in the program. The bill would create the Made in California Fund within the State Treasury. This bill would authorize the continuous appropriation of donated funds, as specified, to the director, for the purposes of the program, and require any other funds deposited and maintained in the Made in California Fund to be available for the same purpose subject to appropriation by the Legislature.
