Summary

Existing law provides for the administration of the state correctional system by the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. Under existing law, the secretary of the department and the legislative body of any county or city may enter into agreements for mutual police aid and authorize employees of state prisons and institutions to cooperate with county and city peace officers in connection with any existing emergency, as specified. This bill would make technical, nonsubstantive changes to these provisions.
