The updated version of LB 1055 introduces a new requirement for adult protective services officials in Nebraska to complete at least one hour of training on caring for individuals with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia. This training must be completed within thirty days of the bill taking effect for those already employed at that time. These changes ensure that staff are better prepared to assist vulnerable adults with specific needs, which can improve the quality of care provided to them.
