Plain-language change summary

The updated version of Bill LB 306 includes an important change that allows certain non-resident students to participate in extracurricular activities, which was not specified in the earlier draft. This change is significant because it expands opportunities for students who may not live within a school district but still wish to engage in sports or other activities, fostering inclusion and diversity. Additionally, the bill now includes new requirements for colleges to report foreign funding, aimed at increasing transparency. These updates reflect a broader effort to enhance educational access and accountability within the state.
