The recent amendment to LB 118 changes the maximum number of pharmacy technicians and pharmacist interns that a pharmacist can supervise from four to three. It also clarifies that a pharmacist intern must always be supervised while performing their duties, but this does not apply during specific training programs they are enrolled in. This change is important as it aims to ensure better supervision and support for pharmacy interns and technicians, potentially improving the quality of care provided in pharmacies.
