Plain-language change summary

The updated bill, LB 647A, includes a vital detail stating that it was approved by the Governor on June 4, 2025, which confirms its official status. Additionally, it clarifies the funding allocation, confirming $65,087 is set aside from the General Fund for the 2025-26 fiscal year to help implement the provisions of Legislative Bill 647. Importantly, it also affirms that no salaries or per diem costs for state employees will be covered with these funds. This matters because it ensures that the allocated money is used solely for its intended purpose without being spent on administrative costs.
