The recent amendments to Bill LB 293 clarify the rules regarding co-employment relationships under the Professional Employer Organization Registration Act. The changes reinforce that clients must have a majority of their employees classified as covered employees, ensuring that workers receive the appropriate benefits. This matters because it helps protect employees by ensuring that they are covered under health and welfare plans, which promotes better job security and workplace standards.
