The recent amendment to Bill LB 771 updates the rules for transportation network companies, particularly around how they can adjust their pricing during emergencies. The key change allows these companies to use dynamic pricing more freely while still requiring them to file their rates with regulatory authorities. This matters because it can help ensure that riders and drivers have clear expectations about pricing during critical times while giving companies the flexibility to respond to demand. Overall, it aims to balance the needs of consumers and service providers during emergencies.
