Plain-language change summary

The recent amendments to LB 398 update various motor vehicle laws and align them with current federal regulations. Key changes include the introduction of permanent trailer license plates for commercial fertilizer trailers and new provisions regarding military and veteran-related license plates. Additionally, the fees for organizational license plates will be modified, and the distribution of certain revenue will be updated. These changes matter because they streamline licensing processes and enhance support for veterans while also modernizing the state's motor vehicle laws.
