Plain-language change summary

The updated version of Bill LB 77A specifies that it has been approved by the Governor on June 4, 2025, and clarifies the appropriations for the Department of Insurance. It allocates $500,000 for the fiscal year 2025-26 and another $500,000 for 2026-27 to support Program 69 associated with the provisions of Legislative Bill 77. Importantly, it also maintains a restriction that none of these funds can be used for employee salaries or per diems, ensuring that the money is directed solely towards its intended purpose. This matters because it helps ensure that the funds are used effectively for their designated programs without being diverted to administrative costs.
