The amendments to Bill LB 441 introduce the provision for virtual inspections for certain building permits in Nebraska. This change is significant because it allows authorized inspectors to conduct inspections remotely under specific conditions, which can speed up the permitting process and make it more efficient for builders, particularly for single-family and two-family homes. By modernizing the inspection process, the bill aims to streamline construction projects while maintaining safety and compliance with building standards.
