Plain-language change summary

The recent amendment to Bill LB 704 focuses on updating how child support orders are handled for individuals who are incarcerated. The change ensures that the Department of Health and Human Services will review child support orders to see if they should be modified, especially when there's a significant difference from established guidelines due to a parent's financial situation. This matters because it helps ensure that support obligations are fair and reflect a parent's current ability to pay, taking into account their circumstances, which is crucial for both the parents and the children involved.
