Plain-language change summary

The recent amendments to Legislative Bill 264 provide for the transfer of funds from various state accounts to the General Fund, totaling approximately $1.75 million. This includes funds from the Inland Port Authority Fund, the State Department of Education Cash Fund, the Mechanical Safety Inspection Fund, and the Motor Carrier Division Cash Fund. These changes are significant because they reallocate resources that could help support general state expenses or address budget shortfalls, highlighting shifts in how the state prioritizes funding.
