Plain-language change summary

The amended version of HB 3383 adds the requirement for all nonprofit organizations, not just those regulated under Section 501(c)(3), to use the E-Verify system when hiring employees for political purposes. Additionally, it introduces a structured penalty system for violations, where fines increase with each subsequent offense. This change is significant because it broadens the accountability for hiring practices among nonprofits and establishes clear financial consequences for not using the E-Verify system.
