In the latest version of Bill HB 2901, the expiration date for its provisions has been extended from January 15, 2023, to August 28, 2031. Additionally, the requirement to send recommendations to specific legislative leaders has been clarified by listing the relevant officials, including the speaker and chief clerk of the house and the president pro tem and secretary of the senate. This change matters because extending the expiration date allows more time for the bill's provisions to be in effect, enhancing the ability for agencies to implement and operate under the guidelines set forth in the bill.
