The bill HB 1819 has been updated to clarify the definition of "special needs" and enhance training requirements for child care facilities. It now specifies that all licensed facilities must provide at least one hour of training related to the care of children with special needs. Additionally, the care plan for children with special needs must involve collaboration between parents, the facility, and health providers, making it more comprehensive. These changes are important as they aim to ensure safer and more effective care for children who require special attention.
