The amended version of Bill HB 1716 includes new language that changes the requirement for grant funding from a minimum one-to-one match to a minimum four-to-one match through fiscal year 2029. This change means that for every dollar granted, organizations or entities must now contribute four dollars of their own funding. This adjustment is significant because it encourages grantees to invest more of their own resources, potentially leading to more sustainable projects and greater overall investment in the initiative.
