The bill has been updated to clarify the responsibilities of the coordinator regarding federal funds. Specifically, it now states that the coordinator is not required to retrieve federal funds that pass through the state to local governments as grants or other allocations. Instead, the coordinator must ensure that the state collects its share from these pass-through funds. This change is significant because it simplifies the coordinator's role, allowing them to focus on more critical financial management tasks while still ensuring the state receives its fair share of federal support.
