Plain-language change summary

The latest version of Bill HB 3129 includes a few key enhancements aimed at improving the ability of physician assistants (PAs) to practice across state lines while maintaining patient safety. Notably, the revisions clarify that the PA's practice will adhere to the laws of the state where the patient is located, and that state licensing boards will continue to have the authority to take action against PAs as needed. These changes are significant as they aim to simplify the process for military families and enhance access to healthcare services by allowing PAs licensed in one participating state to work in another without unnecessary barriers.
