The bill adds a new definition for 'frame or receiver' in the firearms statutes of Pennsylvania.
-
18 Pa.C.S. § 6102
"Frame or receiver." Any of the following: (1) A part of a firearm which provides housing for components, including the hammer, bolt or breechblock, firing pin, ejector or extractor. (2) A partially manufactured blank, casting or machined body intended, designed or advertised for the purpose of being turned into a fully operable part of a firearm which provides housing for components, including the hammer, bolt or breechblock, firing pin, ejector or extractor.
This change introduces a specific legal definition of what constitutes a 'frame or receiver' related to firearms.
