Plain-language change summary

The recent changes to Bill HB 2625 clarify the process for applicants seeking approval to partake in horse racing activities with pari-mutuel wagering. Specifically, the bill now specifies that applicants must submit their fingerprints to the Pennsylvania State Police, which will then forward those fingerprints to the FBI for a background check. This amendment is important because it establishes a clearer and more standardized method for verifying the identities and backgrounds of individuals involved in horse racing, thereby enhancing the integrity of the industry.
