Plain-language change summary

The amendments to Bill HB 2214 clarify the funding that counties can receive for maintenance and construction of bridges, allowing them to also use these funds for bridges owned by local municipalities. Additionally, counties are ensured that their funding will not decrease from the previous year unless there's a reduction in the square footage of their county-owned bridges. These changes aim to improve the maintenance of crucial infrastructure and ensure local governments have the resources needed to address their bridge-related needs effectively.
