Plain-language change summary

The amendments to Bill HB 77 included adding the specific conditions under which retirement benefits related to health insurance premiums are provided to employees of the Lafourche Parish Clerk of Court. The bill clarifies that clerks or employees retiring after at least 20 years of service and at least 55 years of age will receive full coverage for their health insurance premiums. This change is significant because it sets clear eligibility criteria for retirement benefits, ensuring that long-serving employees can access vital health insurance support after retirement.
