Plain-language change summary

The updated version of Bill HB 625 now establishes specific insurance requirements for peer-to-peer car sharing programs. It mandates that if such a program does not offer a physical damage protection package for shared vehicles, it must instead carry its own insurance policy to cover potential damages during the car sharing period. This change helps ensure that vehicles are properly insured, protecting both car owners and users from financial losses due to accidents or damages, which ultimately enhances the safety and reliability of car sharing services.
