and WHEREAS, the Louisiana Climate Action Plan, submitted in February of 2022 by the Climate Initiatives Task Force pursuant to Executive Order JBE 2020-18, promoted a net-zero greenhouse gas emissions goal byby2050, 2050, which aligned with international agendas like the Paris Climate Agreement;

and PageWHEREAS, 1it is now in the best interest of 3the HLScitizens 26RS-5267of ENGROSSEDLouisiana to conduct a thorough, independent review of the Climate Initiatives Task Forceand the 2022 Louisiana ClimateActionPlantodeterminetheirongoingneed,applicability,ornon-applicability;and WHEREAS, the objective of the review shall be to assess current environmental, ecological, and natural resource priorities in Louisiana in the context of long-term energy dominance and economic strength and to ensure their congruence with national objectives Page 1 of 2 HR NO.

274 WHEREAS,ENROLLED it is now in the best interest of the citizens of Louisiana to conduct a thorough, independent review of the Climate Initiatives Task Forceand the 2022 Louisiana ClimateActionPlantodeterminetheirongoingneed,applicability,ornon-applicability;and WHEREAS, the objective of the review shall be to assess current environmental, ecological, and natural resource priorities in Louisiana in the context of long-term energy dominance and economic strength and to ensure their congruence with national objectives such as withdrawing from the Paris Climate Accords and any other treaties or agreements that are antithetical to American values and sovereignty;

and WHEREAS, theultimate objectiveofthereviewshallobjective beofthereviewshall tobetodeterminehowmuchof determinehowmuchof the 2022 Climate Action Plan should be publicly repudiated and which provisions, if any, should be retained or adapted;

and WHEREAS, the review shall also include an investigation and determination of whetheranyforeign or malign influencesorinfluences actorsfromor actors from adversarynations wereinvolved in the creation of the 2022 Climate Action Plan;

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the chairman of the House Committee on NaturalResourcesandEnvironmentmayrequestinputfromtheDepartmentofConservation Pageand 2Energy, the Department of 3Environmental HLSQuality, 26RS-5267and ENGROSSEDall HRother NO.relevant state agencies and stakeholders to provide all necessaryinformation and assistance for the comprehensive review.
