Further prohibits false or fraudulent records and provides for penalties.
Present law provides policies for testing and inspecting all seafood sold in the state.
Proposedlawrequiresanyretailerwhopurchasesseafoodtoretainthepurchaserecordsand to make them available to the department for inspection.
Proposed law provides for a violation subject to civil penalties for failing to retain records or knowingly providing false or fraudulent purchase records.
