Plain-language change summary

The changes made to Bill SB 295 clarify that health insurance plans in Louisiana must cover medically necessary treatments for individuals with acquired brain injuries without imposing unreasonable limits on the number of treatment days or sessions. Additionally, if there are any limitations on rehabilitation services, those must be clearly stated separately by the insurance provider. These adjustments are important because they ensure that individuals with brain injuries receive adequate care and are not restricted by arbitrary treatment limits, ultimately leading to better health outcomes.
