The amendments to Senate Bill 121 involve the addition of several precincts, which expands the areas included in the bill. This change is important because it aims to ensure that the population distribution among the districts is more balanced, adhering closely to the ideal population target for fair representation. By fine-tuning the boundaries of each district, the bill seeks to provide a more accurate and equitable representation for constituents, which is fundamental to the legislative process.
