Plain-language change summary

The updated version of Bill SR 207 now emphasizes support for the governor's efforts to find funding for stipends for classroom teachers and support staff for the 2026-2027 fiscal year. It also highlights the need to consider a potential reduction and redirection of some funding from the Minimum Foundation Program (MFP) to support this stipend. This change matters because it addresses immediate funding gaps for educators while a longer-term funding solution is being developed, ensuring that teachers and support staff receive necessary financial support.
